Janice sends this message for the New Year
Dear Friends,
God’s love is wonderful, I cannot be with you all the time just now, however I can love you, pray with you and be with you in spirit.
It was lovely to share Christmas with you and I thank everyone who took part and who made the Christmas services so very special by reading, singing and reciting.
As we step into this New Year I encourage you to fix your eyes on Christ. Life at times is overwhelming and even frightening but when we look to the one who is the source of all hope we are given a strength that is not of ourselves.
We grow in loveliness as we sit at the feet of Christ. This year is an opportunity to know Him better, to walk closer with Him and to grow in faith. By “grow in faith”, I don’t mean by our own efforts, faith is a gift from God, given in grace, but I truly believe that when we hunger for Him, He feeds us, when we seek Him earnestly we will find Him.
King Solomon enjoyed unlimited success in life, and yet he came to believe that most pursuits in life were like “chasing the wind”.
In 2012 let us not “chase the wind”, let us draw close to Christ, (we get like the people we live with), live with Him and grow in His likeness full of goodness, kindness and truth and we will be filled with His love, a love that cannot be contained, a love that reaches out to all.
Yours in our Lord Jesus Christ
With much love
Janice
