Change of Leadership
Mrs Lisa Livingstone has been appointed to the role of Sunday School Superintendent.  Lisa is well known to all the children and the members and friends of the church having grown up there.   Susan Durham resigned from the Sunday School in January 2008 to further her studies with the Congregational Federation's Integrated Training Course and to allow her more time to focus the assignments and placement.  Susan continues to be involved with the children, leading the children's worship from time to time and by helping out where possible.  Lisa is assisted in the Sunday School by Victoria Hornby, Jane Fairnie and Lesley Hall.

Memory Verse News
The Memory Verse competition was held on Sunday 25th May 2008.  All the children who took part received a certificate at Prizegiving.  Everyone did very well and it was impossible to determine winners from among the competitiors.  In the Brown Trophy, all three competitors Amiee Russell, Blair Currie and Louise Durham were word perfect and will therefore be presented with their own individual trophies and their names will be engraved on the large trophy which will be kept in the Church.

Sunday School Prizegiving
This was a very happy, joyous occasion when the cradle roll babies and the Sunday School children all attended with their families.  The puppet sketch was particularly well received; the children and the adults alike were fascinated.   Well done to Susannah Stitt, Julie and Louise Durham for their sketch.   The children also took part in prayers, readings and in songs and the junior choir also sang.
The service was followed by a lunch in the large hall where Susan Durham was presented with a gold watch and a Willow Tree figure as a reminder of her time as Superintendent.
